Syndio
Pay equity and workplace equity analytics platform used by large employers to find and fix pay and promotion gaps.

Syndio was founded in 2017 in Seattle by pay equity researcher Zev Eigen alongside Ryan Hammond, Zack Johnson, and Katya Siddall, with a mission to give companies a repeatable way to find and correct unlawful pay disparities tied to gender, race, and ethnicity rather than relying on one-off legal audits. Its software analyzes compensation, promotion, and hiring data to flag statistically significant pay gaps and models fixes before raises are finalized, letting legal and compensation teams close gaps proactively instead of reacting to a lawsuit or disclosure requirement. Syndio markets its platform around compliance with a growing list of pay transparency laws, including state-level US requirements and the EU Pay Transparency Directive. The company has raised roughly $83 million, including a $50 million Series C led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Emerson Collective, and says more than half of the Fortune 100 use its platform. Maria Colacurcio, previously a co-founder of Smartsheet, has served as CEO since 2019, with Eigen continuing as founder and chief data scientist.
