Ramp
Corporate cards, bill pay, and procurement software with AI that codes transactions, flags waste, and closes the books faster.

Ramp Business Corporation was founded in 2019 in New York by Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, and Gene Lee, the same team that had previously built and sold the price-tracking app Paribus to Capital One. Ramp started as a corporate charge card with built-in spend controls and has since expanded into bill pay, procurement, travel, and accounting automation, positioning itself as a single system of record for company spend rather than a card add-on. The company has grown quickly on the strength of a no-fee card model that monetizes through interchange, undercutting rivals that charge software fees. In June 2026, Ramp raised a $750 million Series F led by ICONIQ Growth, GIC, and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, valuing the business at $44 billion and pushing total equity raised past $3 billion. Ramp says it now processes spend for more than 70,000 businesses. Ramp markets its AI layer under the banner of doing the accounting busywork automatically: matching receipts, suggesting GL codes, catching duplicate or out-of-policy charges, and drafting close checklists. Finance teams tend to adopt it first for the card and expense management, then layer in bill pay and procurement as trust in the automation builds.
