incident.io
Incident management platform that runs on-call, coordinates response in Slack, and ships AI teammates that help investigate outages.

incident.io was started in 2020 by three former Monzo engineers, Stephen Whitworth, Chris Evans and Pete Hamilton, who had built and run the bank's own incident tooling and wanted something similar for every engineering team, not just fintechs with in-house platform staff. The London company launched publicly in 2021 and grew by embedding itself directly into Slack, turning incident declaration, role assignment, timelines and postmortems into commands teams were already used to typing during an outage. More than 600 organizations, including Netflix, Airbnb, Etsy, Ramp and OpenAI, now run their incident process through the platform. The company has since expanded from incident response into on-call scheduling and alert routing, and layered in an AI investigation agent that queries observability tools, scans recent deploys and surfaces likely causes inside the incident channel while humans are still getting paged in. incident.io raised a $62 million Series B in April 2025 at a $400 million valuation, bringing total funding to roughly $96 million from investors including Index Ventures and Insight Partners.
