Canary Technologies
Hospitality software company whose Guest Management Platform handles hotel check-in, upsells, messaging, and AI voice calls for front desks.

Canary Technologies was founded in 2017 by Harman Singh Narula and SJ Sawhney, two lifelong friends with backgrounds in hospitality, and went through Y Combinator's Summer 2018 batch before growing into one of the more widely deployed hotel technology platforms on the market. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and now says it's used by more than 20,000 hoteliers across 80-plus countries, including brands like Marriott International, Four Seasons, Choice Hotels, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and InterContinental Hotels Group. The core Guest Management Platform digitizes the paper-heavy parts of running a hotel front desk: contactless check-in and checkout, digital authorizations and contracts, digital tipping, and upsell offers sent directly to a guest's phone. Canary AI Voice, launched more recently, extends this into front desk phone calls, handling reservation questions and routine requests so staff spend less time on the phone. Canary AI Guest Messaging responds automatically to a large share of guest inquiries across more than 100 languages. Canary has raised $180 million to date, including an $80 million Series D in June 2025 led by Brighton Park Capital that valued the company at roughly $600 million, and reports about 371 employees as of 2026.
