11x was founded in London in 2022 by Hasan Sukkar and later moved its headquarters to San Francisco, building AI 'digital workers' meant to run entire go-to-market workflows rather than assist a human doing them. Its first product, Alice, launched as what the company called the first AI SDR, followed by an AI phone agent now branded Julian. The company raised a $24 million Series A led by Benchmark in 2024 and a $50 million Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz at roughly a $350 million valuation. In March 2025, TechCrunch and Sifted published investigations reporting that 11x had listed companies as customers that denied being clients, that reported ARR included short trial contracts counted as annual revenue, and that churn was running between 70-80%. Sukkar stepped down as CEO in May 2025, replaced by CTO Prabhav Jain, who has been rebuilding the company's go-to-market and credibility with a smaller team since taking over.
