“Our AI Data Harness gives AI tools a real-time path to the data they need, wherever it lives, without forcing companies to centralize everything first.”
Vinay Samuel, CEO and co-founder of Zetaris
Zetaris announced its cloud AI Data Harness on October 6, pitching it as a way for AI agents to query information spread across enterprise systems without first copying it into a central repository. The launch also comes with two company announcements: Steve Nouri has joined Zetaris as an AI Strategy Advisor, and Zetaris says it has become a SpaceXAI Partner Network Transformation Partner.
Zetaris wants agents to query data where it lives
The product is designed to connect AI systems to structured, unstructured and streaming data across cloud, on-premises and edge environments. Zetaris says its federated architecture lets those systems query data in place, with security, access controls and policy applied across sources. The company presents that approach as an alternative to waiting for data-centralization projects or maintaining duplicated stores.
Zetaris Cloud packages the architecture as a cloud service. In its announcement, the company says organizations can connect AI models and agents to existing data environments without being tied to a particular cloud provider, data platform or AI model. The release does not specify launch pricing, name customers using the new service, or provide an independent performance benchmark.
The 67% cost claim comes from internal assessments
Zetaris says its AI Data Harness can lower total cost of ownership by up to 67%. The company’s footnote describes that figure as an internal measurement based on pre- and post-assessments with enterprise customers; the announcement gives no sample size or further details on how the comparison was calculated.
The product’s stated premise is that avoiding copies can reduce storage, computing and networking needs. Zetaris also argues that processing closer to where data originates could matter as companies expand AI use across distributed systems. Those are the company’s claims about the potential impact of its architecture, rather than results from a published independent study.
SpaceXAI partnership puts the product in a developer event
Zetaris and SpaceXAI are set to headline the Open Agent Hackathon 2026, a 144-hour online event hosted by GenAI Works and scheduled for October 22–27. The organizer’s event page also lists October 22–27, 2026, as the dates. Zetaris says more than 5,000 builders from over 100 countries are expected to take part, pairing SpaceXAI’s Grok Build with its data harness. The company lists a $20,000 prize pool and says participants will build enterprise AI applications using distributed data.
“Putting these technologies in the hands of thousands of developers will show what becomes possible when AI agents can work with live enterprise data without sacrificing security,” Samuel said in the announcement. The event is a planned test with developers, not evidence yet of production deployments or results.
Steve Nouri joins as AI Strategy Advisor
Nouri, CEO and co-founder of GenAI Works, joins Zetaris as an AI Strategy Advisor. His organization is hosting the hackathon, connecting the personnel announcement to the company’s effort to put its new product in front of developers. Nouri said the infrastructure gap between AI systems and enterprise data was what drew him to the company.
For now, Zetaris has described the product’s architecture and its intended use, alongside an internal cost comparison and a future developer event. The announcement’s clearest near-term measure will be the applications built during the October 22–27 hackathon; the company has not yet published results from that event.
