RapidCanvas says its annual recurring revenue grew eightfold over the past six quarters. The Austin-based company announced a $29 million Series B on October 16, led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India, with Hitachi Ventures and existing investors also participating. The financing brings its total funding to $52.5 million, according to the company.
RapidCanvas pairs software with field engineers
The company sells managed AI delivery rather than software alone: its field AI engineers learn how a customer’s business processes work, build custom applications and remain accountable for results after deployment. RapidCanvas offers the service at subscription prices, positioning that model between large services engagements and do-it-yourself platforms that require specialist staff.
Its platform combines three products. The Enterprise Context Engine captures process details such as requirements, data schemas and decision history; the Visual Development Canvas is used to build applications; and the Operational Harness manages and governs systems in production. RapidCanvas says its reusable skills library gives each new solution a 60% head start from proven, benchmarked code.
“Vibe coding has made it easy to start building with AI. Getting AI into production reliably and safely still remains the biggest gap.”
Rahul Pangam, co-founder and CEO of RapidCanvas
Pangam said the company’s growth reflects enterprise demand for AI applications in production, rather than pilots alone. RapidCanvas reports that more than 40% of its customers now run multiple AI use cases in production. Those figures come from the company’s announcement; it did not disclose its absolute recurring revenue or the methodology behind the reported growth rate.
75 enterprises and 1.4 million AI-led decisions
RapidCanvas says more than 75 enterprises across manufacturing, financial services, retail, business services and infrastructure used applications built on its platform to make 1.4 million AI-led decisions so far in 2026. The announcement does not define “AI-led decision” or break the total down by industry or customer. The figure therefore describes the company’s reported platform activity, not an independently detailed measure of business outcomes.
The company targets organizations with annual revenue between $100 million and $10 billion, which it says often have AI budgets and executive mandates but lack a clear path to production. RapidCanvas also says it spoke with more than 400 business leaders and found that most executives expect an AI return within six to 12 months, while few have progressed beyond pilots and proofs of concept.
Funding will support hiring and product work
RapidCanvas plans to expand its go-to-market teams and its network of private-equity and advisory partners. It will also grow its field AI engineering team across the United States, Brazil and India. Product spending will focus on the Context Engine, the skills library in the Visual Development Canvas and governance features in the Operational Harness.
Vertex Ventures SEA & India led the round; Hitachi Ventures joined, alongside returning investors Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures. The company’s announcement gives no valuation, absolute recurring revenue or cost per deployment. Those figures would help show whether its engineer-supported subscription model can scale beyond the reported customer and usage totals.
