Automation Anywhere Agrees to Acquire Boost.ai

Automation Anywhere says Boost.ai’s conversational AI resolves more than 90% of interactions in production deployments. The enterprise automation company has agreed to acquire the voice and chat AI provider from Nordic Capital, aiming to connect customer requests with the business processes that fulfill them. The companies expect the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Nordic Capital said the financial terms were not disclosed.

From customer conversations to business processes

Boost.ai’s software handles interactions across voice, chat and digital channels. Automation Anywhere says the acquisition would extend its automation platform into customer-facing service, linking requests to work in middle- and back-office systems. The announcement gives no purchase price or detailed integration plan.

The deal is part of Automation Anywhere’s effort to bring customer service, employee support and business operations into a single offering. In late 2025, the company acquired Aisera, which it says added enterprise knowledge tools and automated employee service. Boost.ai would add a customer-facing conversational layer to that mix. Automation Anywhere describes its broader goal as an “Autonomous Enterprise,” in which business functions can run autonomously or with AI assistance; the release presents that as a vision for the combined offering, not a reported outcome of the acquisition.

“By joining Automation Anywhere, we can connect the conversation, including voice, directly to the systems and people who get the work done, so a customer's request is handled from start to finish.”

Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai

Boost.ai focuses on regulated industries

Founded in Norway in 2016, Boost.ai serves hundreds of customer organizations, with a particular presence in Europe and regulated sectors including financial services, telecommunications and insurance, according to Automation Anywhere. Its platform supports more than 36 languages and combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI. Automation Anywhere says the platform achieves a resolution rate above 90% in production deployments and that Gartner has recognized Boost.ai in its Magic Quadrant for Conversational AI Platforms for four consecutive years.

The company says Boost.ai’s security and privacy measures align with GDPR and HIPAA requirements and are supported by an independent SOC 2 report. Nordic Capital, which invested in Boost.ai in 2021, said the company expanded internationally and grew its customer base during its ownership. It described Boost.ai as purpose-built for regulated industries, where high interaction volumes and data-protection requirements call for accurate, auditable responses.

A second acquisition in a year

Automation Anywhere is positioning the purchase as its second AI acquisition in roughly a year, following Aisera. The company says the combined offering could let an AI system understand a customer’s request, apply company rules, coordinate people and software agents, and carry out the resulting work across enterprise applications. It describes three areas for the offering: customer operations, employee operations and business operations. The release does not provide customer migration or product-launch dates.

Automation Anywhere reports that agentic AI executions grew fivefold over the past year and that it now delivers nearly half a billion AI agent and automation executions annually. The company also says AI bookings made up nearly 70% of new and upsell bookings over the past six quarters. Those figures describe Automation Anywhere’s existing business, not Boost.ai’s standalone performance. The companies expect the acquisition to close in Q4 2026, pending customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
