AlphaPai’s third funding round in 12 months reaches US$50 million
AlphaPai, an AI investment research assistant developed by financial AI company Rabyte Technology, has completed a US$50 million Series B round, the company announced on September 15, 2026. The financing marks AlphaPai’s third consecutive funding round within a year and brings together investors from insurance, securities, mutual funds, industrial capital and venture investment.
Participants include China Insurance Investment and GF Xinde Investment Management, the private-equity arm of GF Securities. Qiming Venture Partners, Ambrum Capital, Next Capital, Trustar Capital and Eastern Bell Capital also joined the round, alongside existing shareholders. China Renaissance acted as the transaction’s exclusive financial adviser.
AlphaPai says it will use the proceeds to increase investment in models and products, expand its multi-asset customer base and deepen cooperation across the financial services supply chain. The company also plans to continue building its domestic business while expanding overseas.
The announcement was distributed by PR Newswire APAC on behalf of AlphaPai.
Investors target financial workflows rather than general-purpose chat
AlphaPai positions its product around the daily work of professional investors: meetings, information processing, investment research, analysis and institutional knowledge management. The company says it now serves more than 120,000 professional users across over 8,000 financial institutions and asset managers.
China Insurance Investment’s participation gives AlphaPai a route into insurance research and asset allocation, according to the announcement. Insurance portfolios span equities, fixed income and alternative assets, while their research and compliance processes often involve multiple teams and extended review cycles.
GF Xinde’s investment connects AlphaPai with a financial-sector fund focused on companies serving the advisory industry chain. The fund’s stated focus includes independent advisory teams, service providers and financial technology companies.
PaiWork puts AlphaPai’s tools into one workspace
AlphaPai launched PaiWork in April 2026. The company describes it as an AI investment research workstation that combines financial data, research tools, productivity software and knowledge bases in a single environment.
The product is intended to move users beyond isolated question-and-answer sessions toward repeatable research workflows. AlphaPai says AI interactions and token consumption on PaiWork have increased by tens of times since launch, while institutional adoption has continued to grow. Users can create and reuse research workflows and skills, forming what the company describes as a user-generated content ecosystem.
AlphaPai introduced the Investment Research Agent Benchmark, or iRaB, in June. The benchmark evaluates how AI systems understand, analyze and deliver results on real investment research tasks. During the same period, the company launched its Open Research Ecosystem Investment Research Partner Program, which it says includes more than 40 brokerage research institutes, data providers and other industry participants.
Li says the advantage comes from incremental improvements
Luodan Li, AlphaPai’s founder and chief executive, described the company’s product development as a long-term engineering effort rather than a single model breakthrough.
“In real-world production environments, AI resembles high-end manufacturing: a systematic engineering endeavor requiring long-term accumulation,” said Luodan Li, Founder and CEO of AlphaPai. “The competitiveness of future companies lies entirely beneath the surface. It comes from the compounding effect of many incremental 5% gains, which ultimately forms a systematic advantage that is difficult to replicate.”

Li also said financial AI could affect sectors beyond finance by linking capital allocation with activity in the wider economy. The company’s funding plan, however, is more specific: additional model and product research, broader asset-class coverage, deeper partnerships and international expansion.
Expansion starts with the company’s institutional base
AlphaPai says its products were developed through work with Chinese financial institutions and are designed around professional investment-research processes. The company is using that base to pursue a wider set of financial institutions and asset managers across markets.
The new financing gives AlphaPai capital for that expansion, but the announcement does not disclose the company’s valuation, revenue, ownership stakes or the size of its earlier rounds. Its disclosed operating figures are the more than 120,000 professional users, more than 8,000 institutions and asset managers, and more than 40 organizations participating in the research partner program.
