Character.AI is hiring a technical program manager for model alignment and deployment, based on-site in Redwood City. The role coordinates Post-Training, Safety Engineering, Trust & Safety, ML Infra and UXR: planning programs across data collection, annotation, alignment workflows such as RLHF, DPO and Constitutional AI, red-teaming, evaluation and serving. It asks for 5+ years in technical program management, research operations or product execution in AI/ML, fluency in SQL and Python, and enough technical depth to work with research and infrastructure engineers.
