Waymo's Vehicle Realism Platform team, part of its Simulation organization, seeks a staff tech lead software engineer. The role builds tools connecting the simulator architecture to physical vehicle models — platform expression, physics, environment, timing, hardware — so simulation reflects real-world driving. Duties include improving simulator reproducibility and reliability, designing long-term architecture for internal users, and working with Simulator, Eval, Hardware and Onboard teams.
