Anthropic's Inference team is hiring staff and senior software engineers to build and scale the distributed systems that serve Claude. The work spans request routing and load balancing across thousands of accelerators and multiple clouds, autoscaling the compute fleet, deployment pipelines for new models, and onboarding new AI hardware. The team's stated dual mandate is serving customer growth efficiently while giving researchers high-performance inference infrastructure. Candidates should have significant distributed-systems experience; LLM inference optimization, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and Python or Rust are preferred.
