Waymo's Software Engineering group in Warsaw seeks a staff backend engineer for rider experience and operational data systems. The work covers backend services and APIs, including for complex venues such as airports, and a platform that ingests and analyzes city and vehicle data for internal teams and external partners. It asks for eight years of backend work in Java, Kotlin, Python, Go or C++, distributed systems design, and experience leading engineers and large efforts. Mentoring other engineers and owning end-to-end delivery are part of the job; C++ is preferred.
