Wayve is hiring a senior or staff machine learning engineer in its AV Core organisation, based in Sunnyvale under a hybrid policy. The role advances reinforcement learning for end-to-end driving models: post-behaviour-cloning optimisation such as offline and off-policy RL, reward model improvement, and large-scale training and evaluation. The person also leads technical direction for a learned emergency trajectory model covering evasive steering and emergency braking. Requirements include validated RL work, Python and PyTorch, strong experimentation judgement, and senior-level ownership across research and engineering.
