Wayve is hiring a staff machine learning engineer on its Measurement team, part of AI Evaluation, based in Sunnyvale. The role builds and fine-tunes computer vision and scene understanding models that measure how Wayve's driving system performs offline, adapting on-vehicle architectures and foundation models to use larger compute budgets. It asks for 5+ years of ML engineering, hands-on transformer, multimodal or VLM training on camera and lidar data, Python and PyTorch, and staff-level technical leadership. Benchmark results must be statistically defensible for validation pipelines and safety cases.
