Waymo's Driver Understanding and Evaluation team is hiring a staff machine learning engineer for its Learned Metrics group. The role builds ML models that judge how the autonomous driver behaves, plus the ML infrastructure and simulation workflows behind them, and works across teams to move research into production. The posting asks for a quantitative BS or equivalent, 5+ years shipping production ML models, Python and C++, and applied deep learning; reinforcement learning, transfer learning and large-scale data experience are preferred.
