Waymo is hiring a Staff Field Quality Engineer in its Hardware Engineering group, based in Mountain View with a hybrid schedule. The role covers field quality across the product lifecycle: analyzing fleet data for emerging quality trends, leading cross-functional root cause analysis and containment, and building scalable quality processes and automation. Requirements include an engineering degree, eight years in electro-mechanical product development, quality or reliability experience, and data analysis in Python, SQL, JMP or Tableau. Automotive or robotics backgrounds and statistical modelling are preferred.
