Waymo's Hardware organization hires C++ software engineers for its vehicle platforms group, building on-vehicle and off-vehicle software that manages autonomous driving functions. Work spans embedded systems, controls, sensor processing, manufacturing calibration, simulation, data analysis, fault management and automation; engineers also analyze field logs and simulation results and take part in cross-functional planning. Requirements: a BS or MS in computer engineering, computer science or similar, two or more years writing production modern C++ (C++17/20, not C with C++), and real-time embedded or complex distributed systems experience. Safety-critical work is preferred.
