xAI is hiring a software engineer for its Colossus Networking team, which designs and runs the high-speed fabric connecting hundreds of thousands of GPUs used to train Grok. The engineer develops routing and traffic-engineering algorithms, real-time switch software, and tooling for deployment, testing and monitoring, owning the work from design through production. Requirements include C or C++ experience, a technical degree or two years' equivalent experience, and knowledge of networking protocols, distributed systems and large-scale datacenter fabrics. The role is on-site, with extended hours or weekends sometimes required.
