Anthropic is hiring a systems engineer to write and maintain the software that connects its ML accelerators to high-speed networks. Work includes moving tensors over the network, benchmarking a new networking environment, implementing collective algorithms to cut latency, tuning congestion control for large synchronous workloads, and debugging kernel-level latency spikes. The posting asks for deep TCP/IP internals knowledge, XDP, eBPF, DPDK, RDMA, kernel bypass, a systems language and ideally Rust, plus five years of systems or network programming. Pay runs $280,000–$850,000.
