OpenAI's Infrastructure Security team is hiring a security software engineer to build foundational services — authentication, access brokers, secure proxies, key management — that protect GPU supercomputing clusters, multi-cloud infrastructure, datacenters and model weights. The work covers line-speed encryption, machine identity, network isolation, detection tooling and threat models. The posting asks for strong software engineering in Python, Go, Rust or C/C++, plus experience securing large cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and standards such as OIDC, mTLS or SPIFFE.
