xAI is hiring a site reliability engineer for its Memphis and Southaven data center campus. The role covers monitoring design — what gets alerted, suppressed and trusted — technical command of severe incidents, blameless postmortems, runbooks and game days, and error budgets across compute, network, storage, power and cooling. Candidates need five or more years in site reliability or large-scale production operations, scripting in Python or Bash, one systems language, and incident command experience. AI/ML infrastructure or supercomputing background is preferred.
