Zoox's Perception team is hiring a senior or staff engineer to make large perception models run on the vehicle itself. The work covers allocating system capacity across on-bot perception models, sharing parts of the stack to speed inference, and compressing, accelerating and deploying LLMs, VLMs and foundation models to power- and thermal-constrained vehicle SoCs. The posting asks for hands-on experience with model compression and deployment, plus ML optimization, custom CUDA kernels and highly concurrent inference code for real-time, deterministic execution on edge devices.
