Scale AI's Agent Capabilities & Environments team, part of its research organization, is hiring a senior or staff research scientist to study the data needed for LLM agents that act in code repositories, browsers and GUI interfaces. The work covers agent environments, RL reward signals, benchmarking, evaluation tooling and publications, alongside customer researchers and engineers. Applicants should have three or more years on ML problems, published research at top venues, and LLM experience with PyTorch, JAX or TensorFlow. Interviews test practical ML prototyping and debugging, not algorithm puzzles.
