Zoox is hiring a senior or staff machine learning engineer for the Scene Understanding team inside its Perception group. The work is building Vision-Language-Action models that read what surrounds the vehicle, flag hazards, catch rare events and suggest driving actions, running on the robotaxi platform with minimal latency. The engineer works with people across sensors, planning and research, using sensor data and infrastructure to check algorithms in real-world conditions.
