Waymo's Mapping team builds a high-resolution map of the world for autonomous driving, using automatic and manual methods. This senior engineer owns systems that take low-latency action on signals from Waymo's fleet, develops algorithms and infrastructure for keeping the map current, and builds backend data processing that scales with the company. The posting asks for backend experience in server-side infrastructure and data processing, solid coding skills with C++ preferred, and more than four years of experience. A master's degree or AV and mapping experience is a bonus.
