Waymo's Configurations team builds the backend systems that determine which driving features its autonomous vehicles run, based on a car's location and driving mode, and manages releases to the fleet. The role covers designing large-scale distributed services, building commercialization and rollout tooling, and enabling safe feature launches through evaluation, A/B testing and gradual rollouts.
