Waymo seeks a senior machine learning engineer for its Sensor Foundations Team, which supplies cleaned sensor data and low-level perception signals to perception models. The work moves low-level perception tasks from hand-written algorithms to machine learning, plus system integration, code optimization, and building metrics for task- and system-level quality. Required: a bachelor's in computer science, robotics or similar, 5+ years industry experience, strong C/C++, Python, computer vision and machine learning, and system integration. Sensor data processing and AV industry experience are preferred. Based in Mountain View or San Francisco.
