The work is making large-scale CUDA-backed ML training faster: GPU kernel design, porting, data structure changes, distributed learning, and algorithmic optimisation of models. The person maintains an HPC software stack for atomistic modelling and generative ML in digital biology and collaborates with research and AI infrastructure teams. The posting asks for an advanced quantitative degree, five-plus years in performance engineering, C++, Python, CUDA or Triton, and familiarity with PyTorch, JAX or Warp. Base pay: 184,000–287,500 USD.
