Wayve is hiring a senior data scientist to partner with one or more AI engineering teams behind its end-to-end driving model, the Wayve AI Driver. The work centres on metrics: formulating and iterating on performance measures, designing experiments and targeted off-road measurements that test safety and product requirements, and investigating training and inference factors that limit performance. Applicants need three or more years in data science, production-level SQL for data-transformation pipelines, hands-on design of real-world experiments with sound frequentist statistics, and Python or R statistical tooling. Causal inference, Bayesian hypothesis testing and distributed computing are listed as desirable. The role is based in Wayve's London office under a hybrid policy.
