LangChain is hiring a senior backend engineer for the team that owns LangSmith, its observability and evaluation platform for AI systems. The work covers designing backend services and APIs for tracing, monitoring and evaluation workflows, optimising storage and query performance for high-volume observability data, and ensuring reliability through testing, monitoring and root-cause fixes. The posting asks for 4+ years of backend engineering experience on complex products, ideally in Python or Go, plus API design and high-throughput systems work. Postgres, Redis, Clickhouse and AWS, GCP or Azure familiarity are listed as bonuses. The role is onsite in Boston.
