Amazon is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist for its AWS Applied AI Solutions organization in Bellevue, Washington. The scientist sets the science vision and research roadmap for a problem space and ships production systems: agentic AI for cloud-architecture work, language-model fine-tuning, scalable agent evaluation, continual learning and collaborative filtering. Requirements include a PhD or a master's plus six years of applied research, three years building ML models for business use, and programming in Python, C++, Java or similar. The role also mentors junior scientists and leads science and code reviews.
