Amazon's Customer Behavior Analytics group is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist for Customer Forecasting and Valuation, which produces causal estimates of how customer actions translate into year-ahead customer value. The team is rebuilding those metrics as transformer-based foundation models of customer behavior, learned from billions of behavioral events and designed as shared infrastructure. The work spans causal inference, sequence modeling and experimentation. Candidates need 4+ years of applied research, 3+ years building ML models for business use, a PhD or master's plus six years, and Python, Java or C++.
