Waymo's AI Foundations team seeks a research scientist to conduct world-model research and post-train the company's driving world model. The work covers designing experiments that train and evaluate large generative models, presenting results to peers and leadership, and using AI to write code, tests and documentation. The posting asks for a Masters or PhD in deep learning for generative or world modeling, three-plus years with JAX, TensorFlow 2 or PyTorch, and experience with diffusion or flow matching models, reinforcement learning and large foundation models. Post-training and distillation experience are preferred.
