Google seeks a Research Scientist PhD Intern for a 13-17 week full-time internship in London, starting May-July 2027. The intern joins embedded research teams, developing software and contributing to projects using natural language processing, AI, machine learning, data compression and search. Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD in computer science or a related technical field in the EMEA region, in their penultimate or final year, with research experience in NLP, computer vision, LLMs, deep learning or reinforcement learning. Preferred: publications and programming in Java, C++, Python or Go.
