Amazon Robotics is hiring a research scientist in North Reading, Massachusetts to work on mobile manipulation: learning-based models that let warehouse robots navigate and handle objects in fulfillment centers. The job covers designing model architectures, planning data collection and curation, running simulation and real-robot experiments with benchmarks and ablations, writing research code, publishing at RSS, CoRL, ICRA and NeurIPS, and collaborating with hardware teams. Applicants need a PhD, or a master's plus five years of quantitative research, three years applying scientific methods, and Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
