NVIDIA's deep learning efficiency research team is hiring a new Ph.D. graduate to research methods that make models cheaper to run. The work covers post-training optimization such as pruning, quantization and neural architecture search, efficient architecture design, adaptive inference, and resource-efficient training and finetuning, alongside publishing papers, mentoring interns, and transferring technology to product groups. The posting requires a Ph.D. (or equivalent), experience with large language and vision-language models, hands-on large-scale training with tensor and pipeline parallelism, and strong Python and PyTorch skills. C++ and CUDA are a plus.
