NVIDIA Research seeks a PhD new graduate for AI accelerator architecture, VLSI and hardware/software co-design. The researcher will investigate numerical methods such as quantization, sparsity and tensor decomposition, apply machine learning and generative AI to automated ASIC and VLSI design flows, help develop prototype testchips, and publish and present results. The posting asks for a PhD in computer science or electrical/computer engineering, hardware design experience with modern EDA flows, proficiency in two of Python, PyTorch, C++, SystemVerilog or CUDA, and publications at top circuits, architecture or AI/ML venues.
