DeepMind is hiring a research engineer in London for its responsible frontier AI work, on-site and full-time. The person prototypes and scales engineering for safety research, builds and tunes training and inference pipelines that surface harmful manipulation in frontier language models, develops post-training methods against deceptive persuasion, sycophancy and covert influence, and maintains evaluation infrastructure tracking model safety across releases.
