OpenAI's Health team, part of its Personal AGI organization, seeks a hands-on research engineer or scientist in San Francisco. The role spans pretraining, midtraining, reinforcement learning, post-training and evaluation, working on health reasoning, reliability and calibration, building RL environments grounded in real health problems, and developing models and agents over longitudinal, multimodal health data. The posting asks for a strong ML research record in pretraining, RL/post-training or evals, or depth in frontier biomedical AI; healthcare experience is helpful, not required. Hybrid: three days a week in office, with relocation assistance.
