Anthropic's reinforcement learning teams are hiring a research engineer in London to do both research and engineering on large language models: designing training environments, evaluations and RL methodologies, and scaling distributed training across GPU clusters. Work spans agentic tool use, code generation, reasoning and safety. The posting asks for Python with async programming, ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX, and industry ML research experience; Kubernetes, distributed systems and Rust or C++ help.
