Anthropic's Computer Use team is hiring a research engineer to teach Claude to see, use and understand computer interfaces. The role covers designing experiments on perception and agentic behavior, building evaluation frameworks for complex computer tasks, creating computer-use and vision reinforcement learning environments, and testing production training setups. Required: Python, software engineering experience, and training, fine-tuning or evaluating machine learning models. Preferred: reinforcement learning, multimodal training, agentic benchmarks and large-scale ML infrastructure. The posting pairs research with product work and lists a $500,000–$850,000 salary.
