A research data scientist role on Waze's Personalized Experience team, which builds machine-learning models for personalized, contextual routing. The work runs from ideation to production: feature engineering, evaluation and error analysis, data pipelines, model tuning, monitoring and dashboards, plus defining success metrics and running experiments with product managers, developers and quality analysts. Tools include GCP, Vertex AI, Python, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Airflow/Composer and Looker. The posting asks for a master's in a quantitative field plus two years of data engineering and machine learning experience, or a PhD; three years of applied ML is preferred.
