Physical Intelligence is hiring a Prototype Engineer in San Francisco, on-site, to sit between its research and hardware teams. The job is hands-on: designing and fabricating mechanical, electrical and sensor prototypes, building quick-turn PCBs and harnesses, selecting actuators and sensors, making test rigs and tooling, then validating and debugging electromechanical systems against real-world contact, wear and thermal problems. It asks for a mechatronics-type degree, two to five years of prototyping or R&D experience, CAD and electronics skills, and rapid fabrication methods. Scripting in Python is a plus.
