OpenAI's Integrity and Investigations team is hiring a Protection Scientist Engineer to design and build systems that detect and enforce against misuse of OpenAI products. Duties include abuse monitoring for new launches, sustaining monitoring for existing products, prototyping detection and enforcement systems, and investigating critical escalations that existing safety systems miss. The posting asks for at least four years of technical analysis and detection using SQL and Python, plus data engineering and machine-learning experience. Work is on-site in San Francisco or New York, with on-call and some disturbing content.
