Cerebras is hiring a principal investigator to start a new ML team alongside its existing Field, Applied and Core ML groups, with latitude to define the group's agenda. The work spans post-training and reinforcement learning, dataset curation, LLM pretraining stability and efficiency, sparsity, and domains such as coding and reasoning agents, adapted to the Cerebras platform. The posting asks for a PhD, ML theory depth, experience engineering ML systems at scale, and team leadership. Publications and distributed-training or kernel experience are preferred.
