Anthropic is hiring a tech lead or manager for its Evals Infrastructure team in San Francisco. The person leads engineers building distributed systems that schedule, orchestrate and run evaluations of frontier models, owns eval throughput and cost, scales the harnesses researchers use, and makes results deterministic and reproducible. The posting asks for Python and Rust, end-to-end work on large-scale distributed systems, fault-tolerant systems on accelerator fleets, and at least a year managing engineers, with LLM inference or benchmarking experience preferred. The person also contributes as an engineer. Pay is $500,000–$850,000.
