OpenAI's Power & Land team is hiring a Power Trading Lead to own commodity hedging across its data center power portfolio. The role sets hedging strategy for electricity and natural gas, quantifies exposure by market and load shape, executes structures such as fixed-price supply, forwards and options, and works with utilities, suppliers and banks. It asks for 10+ years in power trading, energy procurement or commodity risk, plus deep knowledge of U.S. wholesale markets. It is an individual contributor role without direct reports initially, listed as remote in the US.
