Waymo's Perception team is hiring a machine learning engineer to build models that interpret the world around its autonomous vehicles. The work spans multi-modal sensor fusion, spatial-temporal representation learning for detection, tracking, occupancy and semantic segmentation, plus large-scale pre-training, distributed fine-tuning and evaluation on Alphabet compute. The posting asks for a bachelor's in computer science or equivalent deep learning experience, three or more years in ML or computer vision, Python, and PyTorch or JAX; a master's or PhD, publications, and C++ are preferred.
