Perplexity's Secure Intelligence Institute is hiring researchers and engineers to study security, privacy and trust in frontier AI systems and translate that research into improvements to Perplexity's products. Work includes threat models for browser, search and agentic AI, defenses and detection, evaluation benchmarks, publishing at premier venues, and collaboration with security engineering. The posting asks for a PhD or equivalent research experience in security or privacy, publications at IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, ACM CCS or NDSS, depth in one security area, and Python; TypeScript, Go or Rust are a bonus.
